Sunflower Summer

Sunflower Summer is a program of Kansas Tourism for Kansas residents May 25 - August 11, 2024.

This is a great way to explore our state with free admission to various museums, zoos, historical attractions, and nature centers. Have even more fun by participating in the Manhattan Passport for prizes!

Historic Marysville, located 60 miles north of Manhattan, sits adjacent to the Big Blue River of northern Kansas. Home to an original Pony Express Station, Marysville features a bronze statue of a Pony Express rider displayed on the west side of town.

Home of the famous black squirrel, City Park also features sod house, little red schoolhouse, steam locomotive, and 1929 Historic Marysville Depot. For more information on Marysville, visit the city's website.
