It’s that time of year again when the leaves begin to change, the weather cools down, and there’s a pumpkin spice something on every corner. It’s officially fall, y’all.

Whether you’re in town for the big Cats game or just passing through here are five things you must do this Fall in Manhattan.

1. Pick out the perfect pumpkin

Britt's Garden Acres

Manhattan has two great pumpkin patches to visit; A&H Farms and Britt’s Garden Acres. With several acres to explore, the fun doesn’t stop with pumpkins! Both these attractions have tons of activities including hayrack rides, petting zoos, and so much more guaranteed to keep your little ones (and your big ones too) entertained for a whole afternoon!

2. Conquer a local corn maze

Do you have what it takes to conquer one of Manhattan’s corn mazes? If you feel your skills are up to par, head over to Britt’s Farm, or A&H Farms to start your next adventure!

3. Admire the fall leaves

Tuttle Creek Lake Fall

The best part of fall in Kansas is watching the leaves turn into vibrant colors of red, orange, and yellow. For some of the best fall views take a walk around the River Pond at Tuttle Creek Lake or stroll through K-State’s campus. Don't forget to visit Manhattan's local winery, Liquid Art Winery & Estate, to see the gorgeous fall colors over the Flint Hills.

4. Find the best pumpkin spice latte

With several of our favorite coffee shops serving up a special fall menu, there are plenty of opportunities to find the perfect pumpkin spice latte. But don’t stop with coffee, fall pastries are a must as well. Try Flight Crew's pumpkin bread, a carmal apple scone from Brother's Coffee Co or a Peach Cobbler Chai from Paramour Coffee.

5. Take a Scenic Drive

Hop on your bicycle, rev your motorcycle or pack the kids in the car. Autumn is the perfect time for a scenic drive down Native Stone Scenic Byway. A majestic stretch of road including regional landmarks such as Konza Prairie, Pillsbury Crossing/Deep Creek and K-177 scenic vista. This byway features abundant natural limestone formations and historic stone fences, barns, buildings and bridges.

These five things are sure to have you FALLing in love with Manhattan, Kansas.
