The #BikeWalkMHK community will meet up at The Public Hall starting at 6:00pm for the Books + Bikes event. The Books + Bikes event invites members of the community to converse and imagine what is required to grow a bike-walk culture in MHK. This is an informal meet and greet event. No reading is required to participate.
At 7:30, a walking group will start off on a walking route through Aggievillle, City Park, and surrounding neighborhoods. Cyclists will convene along Moro Street and ride a 1-mile Loop moving south towards 4th street, Right on Poyntz, and around City Park into Aggieville.
Following the ride, we will meet informally over pizza to identify key issues facing the #BikeWalkMHK community in Manhattan and hear about progress made on bicycle-walk campaigns. The point of this ride is to increase the visibility of cycling and walking as a mode of active transportation, healthy living, and recreation - so we'll be riding at a pace that is comfortable for all!
