    An installation by expedition geologist and artist Charles Lindsay, who directs the artist-in-residence program for SETI (Search For Extra Terrestrial Intelligence). The installation will delve into earth's geological and cultural pasts, using scientific equipment salvaged from space exploration archaeology. Specimens and artifacts in Field Station 4 provoke musings on human perceptions of time and space.

  3. Magic Tree House Craft Giveaway

    Pick up a free take and make craft bag at the library that celebrates the Magic Tree House books by Mary Pope Osborne! Be sure to join Ms. Hannah for the online Magic Tree House Party video, which will be released on September 21st. Craft materials will be available to pick up at the library from September 16-21, while supplies last. Recommended for kids in grades K-6.

  1. Fall Festival at A&H Farm

    The pumpkin patch will be opening soon. Come visit a working farm, have tons of fun and make lifelong memories. Our giant slide is the best in the area so you gotta try it out. We have a hayrack ride, petting zoo, corn maze, human fooseball, tricycle tract, culvert area ,tire play area, game area, hook ring and so much more. General admission is $10 per person, 2 and under is free. Stay tuned for some new activities!

    Recommended for PreK - Grade 6 StoryWalk® Downtown starting at the Library. Take a walk with your children down Poyntz Ave. while reading pages from the book, Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin and James Dean. The StoryWalk is available anytime as a self-directed activity. After completing the walk, you can visit the library sometime to pick out a sticker or button. Co-sponsored by Downtown Manhattan Inc.

    Join Morgan le Fay and learn about four of the different places Jack and Annie visit in The Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne and follow the included instructions for crafts, games, and activities inspired by each of the places you learn about. Pick up a free take and make craft bag at the library that continues the Magic Tree House Fun! Crafts will be available in the Children's Room from September 16th until September 21st. One craft per child, while supplies last.

    Go on a StoryWalk Downtown, starting at the Library! Take a walk with your children down Poyntz Ave. and nearby streets while reading pages from the book, Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin and James Dean. After you read the book's first pages in the windows of the library, continue walking down Poyntz and look for the following pages in business windows. The StoryWalk is available anytime as a self-directed activity. After completing the walk, you can visit the library or the Downtown Manhattan office for a small prize. Co-sponsored by Downtown Manhattan Inc. This StoryWalk will be available from September 1-30.
