    An installation by expedition geologist and artist Charles Lindsay, who directs the artist-in-residence program for SETI (Search For Extra Terrestrial Intelligence). The installation will delve into earth's geological and cultural pasts, using scientific equipment salvaged from space exploration archaeology. Specimens and artifacts in Field Station 4 provoke musings on human perceptions of time and space.

    Pick up a free take and make craft bag at the library that celebrates the Magic Tree House books by Mary Pope Osborne!     ake a walk downtown between the Manhattan Public Library and the Blue Earth Plaza to find the features in our Downtown Manhattan Art and Architecture Scavenger Hunt. We have taken photos of some old and new unique aspects of our beautiful downtown community. Notice the details and different features of each building. What's old, what's new? Stop by the library atrium to pick up the scavenger hunt or download one using the link below. Write the address (or approximate location) under the corresponding photo. Fill it out and bring it back into the library for a small prize. As a fun addition, take a selfie in front of your favorite feature and post it! Tag us on social media!   1. Opening weekend of Pumpkin Patch at Britt's Garden Acres

    It is finally time, Pumpkin patch season is here! We will have all our regular fantastic attractions plus new ones available for this weekend: Corn mazes, potato cannon, Hayrack rides, Giant slide, Petting Zoo, Rat Race, and more! As always, a small pumpkin is included with every paid admission. Opening weekend is always our slowest, so you can avoid a crowd by coming early. There will be an additional attraction or two set up after this weekend. Admission (including tax) is $13.00 per person with jumping pillow access or $11.00 per person without jumping pillows. Ages 3 and under are Free! Our seasonal pass special runs through Sunday and is only $25.00 per person. After this weekend, season pass will be $30.00 per person. Hours this weekend: Saturday 9 am until 7pm Sunday 10 am until 6 pm.
