    An installation by expedition geologist and artist Charles Lindsay, who directs the artist-in-residence program for SETI (Search For Extra Terrestrial Intelligence). The installation will delve into earth's geological and cultural pasts, using scientific equipment salvaged from space exploration archaeology. Specimens and artifacts in Field Station 4 provoke musings on human perceptions of time and space.

  1. Bibliocaching: A Library Series of Geocaches

    This is a self-directed activity available for all ages, but especially aimed at teens. We have placed geocaches in public parks and trails around town for you to find. Each of our caches has a young adult book inside, free for the taking. Read the library events page description for more information, and go to to find "Library Cache #" geocaches on the map. Event will be available from August to December 2020.

Each participant will receive a prize, ranging from a bottle of wine to tickets to our spring event, the Promenade on Poyntz. Participants will also have access to browsing and bidding at our Silent Auction featuring a wide range of items from various MHK businesses and restaurants.

    Guests at our Virtual Wine Tasting & Live Auction will virtually join our live-stream event, featuring a vineyard representative to discuss various wine selections, sponsored by Standard Beverage Corporation. The live-stream will also include our spirited Live Auction led by Lori Rogge with Gene Francis & Associates and will feature some truly one-of-a-kind items. Kansas State Wildcats athletics

    "K-State Fans: Are You Ready?" is the popular rallying cry before the Wildcats' football team storms onto the field each Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The excitement fans exhibit at home games is cranked up before each season at Purple Power Play in the Park, hosted in City Park the Thursday and Friday before each season-opening football game. Larry Norvell Band Shell is the center of activity as vendors circle the park and K-State Pride of Wildcat Land performs on stage with cheerleaders and Classy Cat dancers.
    Any appearance by Willie Wildcat sends children and adults alike into a frenzy of excitement. More fun, coaches address the throngs of purple-clad fans each night of the rally with fireworks to culminate the event.

You'll want to hop off the bench, grip a bat and belt one out of the park! There are multiple layers of involvement within the sport: player, manager/coach, umpire, scorekeeper or voracious fan. This exhibition contends with how each facet of the game is broken down into math and science.
