    An installation by expedition geologist and artist Charles Lindsay, who directs the artist-in-residence program for SETI (Search For Extra Terrestrial Intelligence). The installation will delve into earth's geological and cultural pasts, using scientific equipment salvaged from space exploration archaeology. Specimens and artifacts in Field Station 4 provoke musings on human perceptions of time and space.

  1. CANCELLED: Little Apple Paddle

    July 11, 2020, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Big Blue River @ Linear Park

    The Little Apple Paddle one-day event attracts more than 300 paddlers from across the state for a 10 mile, down river excursion that docks in the quaint little town of St. George. Boaters launch in Manhattan, on the Big Blue River, at Linear Park Trailhead, located at the Kansas Highway 24 boat ramp by the Big Blue River bridge. After lunch there will be bus rides provided back to Manhattan.

You'll want to hop off the bench, grip a bat and belt one out of the park! There are multiple layers of involvement within the sport: player, manager/coach, umpire, scorekeeper or voracious fan. This exhibition contends with how each facet of the game is broken down into math and science.
