ake a walk downtown between the Manhattan Public Library and the Blue Earth Plaza to find the features in our Downtown Manhattan Art and Architecture Scavenger Hunt. We have taken photos of some old and new unique aspects of our beautiful downtown community. Notice the details and different features of each building. What's old, what's new?
Stop by the library atrium to pick up the scavenger hunt or download one using the link below. Write the address (or approximate location) under the corresponding photo. Fill it out and bring it back into the library for a small prize. As a fun addition, take a selfie in front of your favorite feature and post it! Tag us on social media!

Bluestem Choir at 3:30 pm | Konza Choir at 5 pm
This Bluestem ensemble is the introductory choir with a focus on basic performance skills, healthy singing habits, and fostering a love for music with high energy rehearsals and age-appropriate literature.?
Konza is the main traveling ensemble ?and seeks to attend a convention or festival each year. This past season, they? performed at the 2020 Kansas Music Educators Association State Convention and planned to travel to Chicago in April to perform the national anthem at a Chicago White Sox game. Unfortunately, those plans were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Part of McCain Auditorium's new online series, McCain Connected, the Flint Hills Children's Choir will perform on Sunday, Nov. 8. The Bluestem Choir will perform at 3:30 pm and the Konza Choir will be at 5:00 p.m. This will be a one-time live event only available online and it is free to view. Having performed in St. Louis, Wichita and at Carnegie Hall, Konza is the main traveling ensemble of the Flint Hills Children's Choir. The group attends a notable convention or festival most years.
