A staged reading of David Greenspan's play Jack. Directed by Trevor Comstock. Written and originally performed in the middle of the AIDS epidemic, Jack tells the story of a man who is sick. A stilted and ethereal Greek Chorus recounts the story of a life cut short, highlighting the secrecy and shame surrounding discourse about HIV in its early days. The story of Jack isn't particularly special. It was, and for many still is, unbearably normal. Masks and social distancing are required at this performance.
