    The pumpkin patch will be opening soon. Come visit a working farm, have tons of fun and make lifelong memories. Our giant slide is the best in the area so you gotta try it out. We have a hayrack ride, petting zoo, corn maze, human fooseball, tricycle tract, culvert area ,tire play area, game area, hook ring and so much more. General admission is $10 per person, 2 and under is free. Stay tuned for some new activities!

  3. CANCELLED 2nd Annual Flint Hills Beer Fest

    Last year, the inaugural Flint Hills Beer Fest was a sellout success! We are looking forward to hosting this event once again this year, the original date for the Beer Fest has been postponed. The new date is Saturday, October 24th at the Blue Earth Plaza. The VIP session will begin at 3PM, with GA starting at 4PM. The Beer Fest concludes at 7PM. Attendees can expect a great selection of breweries, fantastic food, live music, and more. Tickets go on sale March 1st. Last year both the VIP and GA sessions sold out, so get yours before they're gone!

  1. Author Talk & Book Signing: Wicked Kansas

    Come meet native Kansan and author, Adrian Zink! Zink has written two books, "Hidden History of Kansas" & "Wicked Kansas." The history of our great state hasn't always been pleasant. In "Wicked Kansas", Zink explores the salacious side of Kansas history including tales of murders, cons and more. During his interactive presentation, Zink will tell a few stories of Kansas history and then visitors can have their copy of "Wicked Kansas" signed by the author himself! Don't have a copy of the book? The FHDC Gift Store will have copies of the book for sale the day of the event! We'll be streaming it on Facebook Live! Click here to visit our Facebook Page. You can pre-order a signed copy of "Wicked Kansas" for pick-up at a later date. Zink will sign the pre-order copies the day of the event and they will be ready for pick-up at the FHDC on Tuesday, October 27.

    Spooktacular 2020 Due to COVID-19 and health and safety precautions we are redesigning our event to keep you healthy and safe and still allow you to have a Spooktacular time at our Zoo! Candy will not be handed out while you are visiting, but individually wrapped candy, pre-bagged will be given to each guest when exiting the Zoo. Dates: Spooktacular will occur October 22 - 27 * Thursday, October 22 will be reserved for our high risk and special populations community. Time: 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. each night To limit crowd size we are allowing only 240 guests per evening. Costumes encouraged - Masks Mandatory Candy when you depart Wear your costumes - adults and kids! Have fun and be creative, just remember you're walking through the Zoo and to still maintain proper social distancing measures and health guidelines. If you need a mask just ask and we can provide one to you at our front gate.
