The 44th anniversary of the Kaw Valley Rodeo is a big part of the schedule on July 24-29, along with the fair's many 4-H projects, judging and Ottaway Amusements Carnival. Home delicacies and homemade pies among many menu items.

Furniture Amnesty Day is an annual event that allows local residents to donate furniture they no longer need so others can select from the donated goods for free. Volunteers will pick up furniture donations within Manhattan City limits if signed up. To schedule furniture pickup, please fill out our online form, or call 785-587-2404. The deadline to sign up for this service is 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.
You can also drop off your donations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Baker Field parking lot in City Park on July 26.
Sign up will begin at 8:00 a.m. at City Park on the day of the event. You will be able to choose time slots between 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to pick out your furniture. No additional paperwork is needed. Assignments to pick furniture will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any furniture left after 4 p.m. is open to the general public.

Neal will lead the group in painting "Flint Hills Sunset" as well as provide goofy, yet entertaining, art history anecdotes all while teaching painting techniques, color theory and other art related skills. You'll walk away with some knowledge of art techniques, an original painting of your own, and having had a great time.
Bring your beverage of choice to enjoy as you paint. Painting will begin promptly at 6:30.

Collective of veteran musicians specialize in re-creating classic rock albums with traveling backline of extensive lighting and video production. One selected album (and related hits) is performed in entirety by musicians selected for each album and band configuration. The weekly concert series draws to a close with this performance.
