The '30s and '40s were a golden age for murals in America when the everyday worker rose to the status of hero. Murals celebrate the work of miners, farmers and other laborers and cover walls in public buildings across the country. Preliminary ideas played out in sketches and nearly 50of these are displayed in this exhibition. On loan from Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, Vassar College.

Apollo 11 mission commander Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin landed the lunar module Eagle on July 20, 1969. Exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing by Americans and complements Manhattan Public Library’s summer reading theme, "A Universe of Stories."

Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity at K-State will host it's annual Delta Sig Dogs philanthropy benefiting the Purple Power Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in the Manhattan and Wamego communities. Delta Sig puts on the event each year to help PAWS raise money, awareness and help get dogs adopted out to eligible homes in the Manhattan and surrounding communities. Last year Delta Sig raised over $3,000 for the organization.
