  2. Voices: Art Linking Asia and the West

    One section of the Seaton Gallery will highlight the back-and-forth exchange of aesthetics and ideas between East and West through objects in the museum’s permanent collection, made by artists who traveled between the two regions.   5. Celebrating Heroes: American Mural Studies of 1930s & 1940s (Hirsch Collection)

    The '30s and '40s were a golden age for murals in America when the everyday worker rose to the status of hero. Murals celebrate the work of miners, farmers and other laborers and cover walls in public buildings across the country. Preliminary ideas played out in sketches and nearly 50of these are displayed in this exhibition. On loan from Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, Vassar College.

  1. Pete Souza: Two Presidents, One Photographer

    Pete Souza served as official photographer to presidents Reagan and Obama, and developed an abiding respect for both men. The artist’s intention is to have these images contribute civility and respect across party lines during lead-up to 2020 elections. Beach Museum is proud to be the first venue for this historic exhibition.

  1. Baseball: Omaha vs. K-State

    K-State won a pair from 2018 Mavericks and leads all-time series 12-2. BatCats posted 3-0 win over Omaha last year in Manhattan. Omaha has won six straight and already posted 20 victories, taking 16 of the last 17 outings. Cats return home April 18-20 for three-game series against Texas Christian.
