  2. Voices: Art Linking Asia and the West

    One section of the Seaton Gallery will highlight the back-and-forth exchange of aesthetics and ideas between East and West through objects in the museum’s permanent collection, made by artists who traveled between the two regions.   5. Celebrating Heroes: American Mural Studies of 1930s & 1940s (Hirsch Collection)

    The '30s and '40s were a golden age for murals in America when the everyday worker rose to the status of hero. Murals celebrate the work of miners, farmers and other laborers and cover walls in public buildings across the country. Preliminary ideas played out in sketches and nearly 50of these are displayed in this exhibition. On loan from Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, Vassar College.

  6. USD 383 History Day Projects Exhibit

    National History Day projects by Woodrow Wilson, Marlatt and Ogden students of USD 383 Elementary Gifted Teacher Terry Healy. She has been with USD 383 since 1989, and is the 2013 Preserve America Kansas History Teacher of the Year. National History Day 2019 theme: Triumph and Tragedy in History.

  1. Pete Souza: Two Presidents, One Photographer

  1. Saint Patrick's Day Parade

    2019 marks the 40th annual parade to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in Manhattan. The celebration began in 1979 with a 10K road race, followed a year later by the inaugural parade in conjunction with the second 10K race. The parade route is filled by watchers decked in green and green beer flows freely in Aggieville restaurants.
