  3. Voices: Art Linking Asia and the West

    One section of the Seaton Gallery will highlight the back-and-forth exchange of aesthetics and ideas between East and West through objects in the museum’s permanent collection, made by artists who traveled between the two regions. This project collaboration between curator Aileen June Wang and University of Kansas art history professors Sherry Fowler and Maki Kaneko.

  1. Men's basketball: Texas vs. K-State

    Wildcats have won four straight over Texas Longhorns, sweeping each of last two seasons' meetings. Crack the lid on 2019 Big 12 hoops in Bramlage as the Horns come calling. Wildcats return in one week to meet West Virginia. Shaka Smart enters Year 4 in Austin, where he has posted a 55-52 mark after three-plus seasons.

    Exhibition featured through Jan. 13 at Flint Hills Discovery Center. North American bison herds were long as much a part of the prairie as native grasslands. By the millions; as wide as the horizon. Flint Hills Discovery Center celebrates the bison's history and significance and spotlights important preservation efforts to strengthen the species' very existence on the Great Plains of Kansas.
