    In 1969, the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio, burst into flames because sparks fell on oil-covered debris floating on its surface. News of the burning river captured artist Lynn Benson’s imagination and inspired her to study how human activity affects a vitally important resource: water. In a range of mediums, Benson represents bodies of water implicated in environmental and political struggles.

  5. Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Exhibition

    Come to a deeper understanding of the beauty of the method of making characters along with the cultural meaning of written art. Current KSU Confucius Institute Chinese teacher and second-year graduate student in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages at Jilin University, Ma Man has studied Chinese calligraphy since childhood with the guidance of her father. Discover the art of other professional Chinese calligraphers, Chinese traditional painters, and her own calligraphy works in this exhibition.

    Kansas State Women's Basketball invites fans to meet the 2018-19 women's team and coaching staff at a special Mid-Summer Bash. The event features free food (hot dogs, chips, cookies, cotton candy and snow cones) and free carnival games. Activities for all ages at the event will include: dunk tank, inflatable games, money machine, photo booth, face painting and carnival games. Willie the Wildcat will make an appearance.
