    Movie is rated PG: When Scottie Smalls (Thomas Guiry) moves to a new neighborhood, he manages to make friends with a group of kids who play baseball at the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. The boys run into trouble when Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over a fence.
    $10 per carload reserves your parking spot.

  2. Fiesta To Remember: Presented by Coco Bolos and Central National Bank

Join us for the first annual Fiesta to Remember: Tastes & Tunes for a Reason Thursday, July 25 at Coco Bolos from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. This Fundraiser and friend-raiser will benefit Meadowlark Memory Program. Ten percent of the daily proceeds and any donations will go directly to Meadowlark Memory Program. This event is sponsored by Central National Bank.
    Coco Bolos will be hosting the event during the summer Landshark Music Series. Starting at 7 p.m. enjoy live music by Los Yumas, a local Latin jazz band.

Home delicacies and homemade pies among many menu items.

  4. Furniture Amnesty Day

    July 26, 2019, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ City Park

    Furniture Amnesty Day is an annual event that allows local residents to donate furniture they no longer need so others can select from the donated goods for free. Volunteers will pick up furniture donations within Manhattan City limits if signed up. To schedule furniture pickup, please fill out our online form, or call 785-587-2404. The deadline to sign up for this service is 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 24. You can also drop off your donations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Baker Field parking lot in City Park on July 26.
    Sign up will begin at 8:00 a.m. at City Park on the day of the event. You will be able to choose time slots between 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to pick out your furniture. No additional paperwork is needed. Assignments to pick furniture will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any furniture left after 4 p.m. is open to the general public.

  6. Let's Paddle the Kaw: Saint George to Wamego

    July 27, 2019, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Saint George Boat Ramp

    Join Friends of the Kaw for fun on the Kansas River! This is a day about relaxing and learning about the Kansas River Water Trail; also snacks on a sandbar. All children must be over age 5. Children up to 12 can ride in the middle of a canoe (free). Over 12, they can be in a paddle spot. Sign up to use one of the boats or bring your own. Life jackets required on all FOK trips (provided with boat use). Bring your own boat, provide your own life jacket.
