You will also hear from architect Carsten Boschen about some of the characteristics of Tudor and Tudor Revival architecture, as well as some of the unique features that make Sunset Cottage a special property.

Emily Pascoe, graduate student teaching assistant in the College of Health and Human Services' apparel, textiles, and interior design department, will introduce the film and led the film discussion.

  6. Beautify Bertrand by Building On Faith

    People of faith will come together to beautify the block around our recently completed Habitat Home #28 at 512 Bertrand, Manhattan. Exterior work such as spreading grass seed, raking, trimming branches, cleaning gutters and even some painting will brighten up this street after kind neighbors patiently allowed months of construction trucks and hundreds of volunteers to descend on their quiet neighborhood.
    MAHFH will reach out to area churches in August to sign up volunteers. Our goal is to have 100 church members attend this event and make a statement to our community about the importance of home ownership at all economic levels.
    Dinner and refreshments provided.
    Wear work clothes, closed toe shoes. Bring work gloves and eye protection if you have them. ?
