If you’re in need of a pick-me-up, sweet treat or just a beverage while you park in a spot to work on your laptop for those coffeeshop vibes, Manhattan has several local coffeeshop options for those looking to avoid the large chain shops.
Radina’s Coffeehouse
There are five Radina’s locations around town. Those looking to grab a local souvenir, a loaf of bread, or a full lunch should hit up Radina’s Bakehouse. There are also three locations across the Kansas State University campus; in the K-State Student Union, the engineering building and the Leadership Studies building. Finally, there is one location on the west side of town, Radina’s on the Hill.
Brothers Coffee Company
Visit the large coffeeshop near the university and Manhattan Christian College campuses, grab a table or a spot on the couches. Perfect for having a meeting, especially over a piece of local TheraPie pie.
Arrow Coffee Company
Try working and grabbing a coffee near the university campus. The shop is closed the first Monday of each month for employee mental health, but have treats and coffee every other day of the week. Also visit the second shop, Arrow Bodega, where patrons can get a coffee, as well as to-go sandwiches, wine and more.
Bluestem Bistro
Hit up a student loved coffeeshop in the Aggieville shopping district. Grab one of the rotating flavors of scones, or breakfast, brunch, lunch or late-night cocktails.
Flight Crew Coffee
Take in the aviation and travel theme of the downtown coffee shop. If you don’t want to sit and chat, grab a cup to go, then hit the Poyntz Avenue area and explore the shops.
The Dusty Bookshelf
Before exploring the shelves of the mixed new and used bookstore, hit up the counter and grab a coffee or specialty drink. Try one of the book-themed drink specials and peruse the tables and shelves for the next great read.
