Make the most of a day spent in the Little Apple with a day’s worth of fun!
Morning
Start the morning with a visit to one of the two locations of Early Edition, a breakfast joint sure to have your favorite, or your new favorite. Get a pancake or waffle combo, or try the breakfast tamale, served with a side of potatoes.
Then, drive to the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art on Kansas State University’s campus, and explore the exhibits, including the outside tallgrass prairie exhibit.
Afternoon
Spend some time at Liquid Art Winery, taking in the views of the vineyard and enjoying some local wine and cider. If you’re still hungry after breakfast, enjoy one of the winery’s flatbreads or cheesy breads. On a hot day, enjoy a wine slushie.
Those in need of a sweet treat can drive back into town and hit up TheraPie, and grab a slice of pie, or a whole pie to share with friends.
Then, walk around Downtown and check out local shops like Rooted Fair Trade, Gatherings at 3 Thirteen, The Winged Lion and more.
Evening
Grab a late table at So Long Saloon or Taco Lucha, and take the opportunity to try the raspberry black bean dip before moving on to the "resist temptation" burger or el mexicano tacos.
Build up an appetite again by throwing axes at Axe to Grind,
then head to the Varsity Truck behind Varsity Donuts and try a staple of the local college students’ diets, like a mac and cheese grilled cheese or a corndog, made with donut batter.
Finish off the night staying in one of the hotels located near Aggieville; The Bluemont Hotel, Courtyard Manhattan Aggieville or Holiday Inn at the Campus.
