Whether it’s a rainy day or a way to connect with the family, several local businesses allow those interested to spend the day playing tabletop games. Meet new people or use the time investing in already established friendships by putting together puzzles, playing a new game or joining a group who needs another player.
The Village Geek
Walk in and play any of the games in the library, or spend time shopping the games, cards and miniatures sections. If you need a pick-me-up, purchase some coffee from one of the baristas. Check the calendar or Facebook events for information on chess tournaments, Pokémon tournaments and more.
Goblin Games
Visit the game shop at a new location to purchase puzzles, cards, miniatures, games, plush toys and more. In addition to tabletop free play, attend open board game night on Thursday, play Pokémon on Monday night, or the host of events throughout the week. Check the schedule on the website or on Facebook.
MHK Tabletop
For $11, play any of the 350 games in the library during the day. Visitors can also BYOA (bring your own army) for games including miniatures and play on the MHK Tabletop tables and 3D terrains. Every first Thursday of the month, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., visit the shop and find new players for community games.
