As the days get longer and the weather continues to warm up there is more and more fun to be had in Manhattan this spring. Follow this two-day itinerary for a fun way to spend a spring weekend.

Day One

Morning:

Start your morning off right with a fresh cup of coffee and a pastry from Arrow Coffee Co. Arrow is located at 1800 Claflin which is adjacent to K-State's campus. Enjoy your coffee in their bright space or take it to go while you take a stroll through K-State's campus. Hop across the street to the K-State Gardens. The Gardens are located at 1500 Denison Ave. and are a horticulture display garden that was established as an educational resource and learning laboratory for K-State students and the visiting public. The park is free to enter and features thousands of gorgeous blooming plants and flowers. They even have an Insect Zoo where you can interact and experience the sights, sounds, and smells of live creepy crawlies.

Girls eating at JP's Sports Grill

Afternoon:

Once you've walked up an appetite, try JP's Sports Grill located within the Jardine Plaza Neighborhood at 2000 Tunstall Circle. Known for their mouth-watering burgers or panini sandwiches, JP's is a great lunch stop to keep you going for your next adventure. After lunch, it's time to work off all that delicious food by hiking the Konza! If you didn't get your flower fix at the Gardens, the Konza is your next go-to place! During the spring the rolling Flint Hills are turning green with tons of new growth making for some unbeatable views.

Pizza at AJs

Evening:

Head downtown for a nice evening out. Several downtown restaurants have patios perfect for enjoying the cool spring breeze. Start with dinner at AJ's NY Pizzeria for a taste of the big apple right here in The Little Apple®. After dinner, head to Flight Crew Coffee for an evening tea or coffee. If it's a Friday night they'll even have live music! Or grab a local brew at Manhattan Brewing Company or Tallgrass Tap House. Both serve some of Manhattan's best local beers.

Day Two

Varsity Donuts

Morning:

Nothing starts a day off better than a freshly made donut from the one and only Varsity Donuts. As a Manhattan classic, Varsity has been serving Manhattan for over 10 years. Try one of the Varsity team menu items like the Maple Bacon donut or the Larry (which is a peanut butter and jelly donut - does it get any better than that?!) Once you've got your morning sugar fix, head just a few doors down to the Dusty Bookshelf. Peruse the hundreds of books that fill the shelves of this quaint store. Take the time to sit and skim through a few at one of their many reading nooks located throughout the store.

Liquid Art Winery and Estate aerial

Afternoon:

If it's a nice spring day, head over to Liquid Art Winery. The views at Liquid Art are unbeatable! You can view the rolling hills for miles as you walk through the vineyard rows. Sip on a flight of wine or cider as you play some bocce ball with friends. If you get hungry, Liquid Art serves delicious charcuterie and flatbread pizzas.

paint brushes at uncorked inspiration

Evening:

Head back to Aggieville for a painting class at Uncorked Inspiration. They host several different paint and sip classes throughout the week. These are fun for the whole group as you sip on your favorite drink while the instructor leads you through a beautiful painting. If you don't make it to a class, no worries, you can make you're own paint and sip by bringing in your favorite beverage and painting one of their many pieces of pottery. While you're in The 'Ville don't forget about dinner and stop by Kite's Aggieville Drafthouse. Drafthouse is an upscale, sit-down, locally-owned restaurant in the heart of Aggieville.
