Acclaimed Kansas-based filmmaker Kevin Willmott’s films like "BlacKkKlansman" often reflect elements that currently define racial contexts of the American experience. Keynote talk for The Art of Democracy symposium co-organized by Office of the Provost and Center for Engagement and Community Development. BlacKkKlansman won a 2019 Oscar for best adapted screenplay during the 91st Academy Awards.
