Mesmerizing Manhattan music

Get transfixed with the Manhappy virus
In a 3-week stretch here in Manhattan KS, you can see Zac Brown Band, Train, Phillip Phillips, Pat Metheny and the Oak Ridge Boys. How's that for zappin' out those end-of-summer blues? Zac Brown and Train headline Saturday's Wildcat Kickoff along with David Ray and Adley Stump on the rarity of rarities ... a concert at Bill Snyder Family Stadium (we'll see the Wildcats on Sept. 17).

Just five weeks ago Rhythm & Brews Festival blasted alt-rock group Grizfolk and indie folk band SHEL at City Park's amphitheater, and The Hat hosted Shenandoah, with Mark Chesnutt and Restless Heart booked for upcoming shows in Aggieville.

Toss your hat into the fray and enjoy your favorite venue around Manhappenin'. The pre- and post-game rituals are just as important, and MHK thrives with lively music and vibrant venues to do more than grab a bite ... settle in and make yourself at home. If you're less into the headline acts, 15 Manhattan night spots host music on a regular basis.

Make your way to Manhattan ... it's definitely Manhappenin' in September!
