The Marketing Awards are focused on overall marketing initiatives and recognizing state-level TIAK winners. This year 54 entries were submitted for seven categories.
“The Marketing Awards is a great way to recognize the outstanding efforts of the various TIAK tourism organizations throughout Kansas,” said Maila Yang, co-chair of this year’s awards and Marketing and Communications Manager for the Kansas City Kansas Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. “We are proud of what Kansas has to offer to tourists, and we are always looking for ways to learn from each other and highlight each other’s work as we attract visitors to Kansas.” Linda Honeyman was also co-chair of the awards.

Community Awareness (community events and promotions):
Crawford County Convention & Visitors Bureau
Traditional Multi-Media (TV, radio, video)—two winners:
City of Greensburg Tourism
Geary County Convention & Visitors Bureau
Each entry was judged on innovation, strategy, creativity, and execution. There were three judges:
