We know Halloween isn't the same this year, but that doesn't mean there isn't fun to be had or candy to be eaten! Manhattan has tons of options for the kids to enjoy Halloween with a mask on. Find seven Halloween events happening throughout October.
1. SPOOKtacular at Sunset Zoo, October 22-27
Join the Sunset Zoo for their annual event, SPOOKtacular. This event has changed from years past due to COVID-19. Come dressed in your costume for a visit throughout the zoo receive your pre-bagged candy at the end of your visit. This event will be limited to 240 guests each evening from October 22-27, be sure to get your tickets online. Find the details on SPOOKtacular.
2. Flint Hills Discovery Center Event, October 31
Join Flint Hills Discovery Center during the day of Halloween for a workshop. Your kiddo will get the chance to build a bat house and take it home. The workshop is great for kids ages 6-12. Be sure to register early as seats are limited, find more information here on the Halloween Workshop.
3. Midwest Dream Car Collection, October 30
The Midwest Dream Car Collection is hosting a trunk or treat, Friday, October 31. Enjoy a family friendly event with candy, crafts and more Halloween fun. Costumes are welcomed and encouraged. Find more details on the Trunk or Treat here.
4. Westloop/WestSide Business Association Trunk or Treat, October 30
Have a fa-boo-lous Halloween at the Bewitching in Westloop event on October 30. Pick up a bag of treats and promotions from local businesses. Enter their virtual costume contests for a chance to win a bicycle. Learn more at about the event here.
5. Briggs Super Center Trunk or Treat, October 23
Briggs Super Center is hosting a Trunk or Treat event October 23. There will be a costume contest, halloween activities and treats. Get the details on this event here.
6. Downtown Farmer's Market Trick or Treating, October 31

7. 2nd Annual Drive Through Trunk or Treat, October 17
For some early Halloween fun, on October 17 head to the 2nd Annual Drive "Through" Trunk or Treat hosted by the American Legion. Pre-packaged Halloween Bags will be given out. Details on this event here.
Bonus Event for those teens
Visit the Scary Maze at Britts Farm, October 24 and 30 only. There will be strobe lights, loud noises and surprises at every turn! This is an event for those who enjoy being scared. Learn more on the event here.
