We're ready and excited to share some great ways to enjoy upcoming weekends, and those who are lucky enough to be done with school for the summer!

-Get out those striped beach towels Friday, May 17 at 10:00 am-- that's when the splash park opens in City Park. Hours for the splash park are 10 am to 8 pm daily. Regular pools are slated to open May 25.

-Bring the family to storytime on the lawn with the Manhattan Public Library! Engage your kids with reading in lovely sunshine. Kids of all ages are invited to join for a relaxed storytime on the grass, or bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Participants are invited to pack a lunch and snack during the storytime or stay afterwards to enjoy a picnic on the lawn. In case of bad weather, storytime will be held in the library auditorium. Saturdays in May-- or, check their calendar for all the other great events for young people.

-Take advantage of Call Hall Dairy on KSU's campus. Homemade ice cream can't just be found on every corner... they are open daily, 7 am to 6 pm, and you can buy other dairy, egg and meat products there too!

-The Columbian Theatre in Wamego has great shows at good prices for the whole family. Up next on their schedule is 9-5 The Musical!

-Last but not least- McCain Auditorium has a perfect family-friendly show coming up! Erth's Dinosaur Petting Zoo will be larger than life on the stage June 10. Get your tickets now by calling or stopping by the box office.
