Manhattan has welcomed 1 million visitors since we all bonded with Chris Stapleton, Alan Jackson and Old Dominion at 2017 Kicker Country Stampede. At least 100,000 country music fans came along for the ride and show value. Visitors flock to Manhattan for different reasons like a bevy of entertainment alternatives, restaurant riches and great Kansas State Wildcats’ sports.

Another MHK tourism centerpiece emphasizes more events types, with greater focus upon weddings, celebrations, banquets and annual/quarterly conferences. Manhattan Conference Center has practical event space that totals to 25,000 square feet for meeting purposes and entertained entities such as the Governor’s Water Conference with influential sponsoring companies Black & Veatch and Burns & McDonnell.

Meeting planner bucket list
Manhattan is a great location for events of all sizes, and Flint Hills Discovery Center is another must-plan-to destination featured recently in Midwest Meetings magazine for bucket list meeting spaces. “Get Tallgrass Prairie vibes in the LEED certified green building, with multiple locations to meet, including a rooftop terrace,” the magazine photo montage encouraged for the educational experience at 315 South Third in southeast Manhattan.
