STOMP is brash, loud, graffiti-styled dance escalation of any child’s rowdy acoustical exercises to pound blocks or slam anything with potential to make noise. STOMP on Jan. 15 introduces McCain Auditorium’s brilliant 2019 performance series schedule. Three nights later, The Hot Sardines spice up sultry tunes in the regal Wareham Opera House on Poyntz Avenue. What's Up at the Wareham?
That's quite a start to the ’19 portion of the McCain schedule! High music notes include Bela Fleck/Abigail Washburn (pictured below), “the king and queen of the banjo;” Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox; Switchback Irish ballads; and Storm Large accompanied by Le Bonheur. Comedy from “Potted Potter” and offbeat humor courtesy of “Legally Blonde: The Musical” and Church Basement Ladies expands the entertainment circle.
Shakespeare’s “King Lear,” Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “The King and I,” and Neil Berg’s 101 Years of Broadway add a dramatic quotient to the schedule. Head online to McCain ticket office and select any of 16 spring semester shows on the Kansas State University campus. Get your fill of entertainment through May 2019 in Manhattan! Ow wow? Oh Manhattan!
