  2. Fronteras/Frontiers Exhibition

    Exhibition explores complexity of borders and frontiers in the Midwest through the work by artists Artemio Rodríguez and Fidencio Fifield-Perez. Rodríguez's practice transcends the boundaries of printmaking, and engages the public through mobile printmaking studio/gallery, the GraficoMovil. Born in Mexico and raised in the U.S., Fifield-Perez explores issues of migration, labor, and the politicization of borders through the manipulation of maps, newspaper cuttings and paper.

  3. Living Democracy in Print

    K-State Prairie Fire Printmakers created screen-printed posters to address issues of democracy, freedom, diversity and unity relevant to the Living Democracy Project. This exhibit aims to promote dialogue among K-State students and serves as a setting for events hosted throughout the week.

  4. Water Stories by Lynn Benson

    "Waterplaces" is a suite of 101 drawings on vellum paper. The exhibition will also present the artist’s 2018 Friends of the Beach Museum of Art Gift Print, "Dancing on the Table." This work reflects Benson's interest in water sources that flow under ground such as the Ogallala Aquifer in parts of Western Kansas and surrounding states. Benson brings attention to this hidden natural treasure in a chine colle´ lithograph with gold leaf and coloring applied by hand.

  5. Here and Now: KSU Dept. of Art Faculty Exhibition

    Exhibition represents studio practices by 15 members of the K-State studio art faculty. These works have been made within the last two years and vary in concept and construction. The artwork features the disciplines of ceramics, drawing, fibers, graphic design, painting, photography, sculpture, and new media. Chad Alligood, chief curator of American art at Huntington Library (San Marino, Calif.), will serve as juror and announce award winners at the exhibition opening.

    Pre-K kids ages 3 and up can hear engaging stories, rhymes, and silly songs based on the weekly theme. Every session will also feature interactive activities including a parachute or shakers. Caregivers attend with ages 2 and under.

    K-State opens home season at Tointon with 14-game homestand that includes Incarnate Word from San Antonio, Texas. The Cardinals feature junior outfielder Eddy Gonzalez who hit .344 with 13 doubles in 50 games of the 2017 season.

  1. 2A girls quarterfinal basketball games

    March 7, 2018, 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Bramlage Coliseum

    Class 2A girls tournament begins at 3 p.m. with top-seeded, undefeated Central Plains in action, the first of four quarterfinal games at Bramlage Coliseum. Boys games tip off Thursday. Four semifinal games are played Friday, with championship and consolation games on Saturday. Head out to the Bram and enjoy four days of "small-town" hoops action in Manhattan!

    Bramlage Coliseum plays host to the "small-town" tournament for Kansas high schools, with title winners hoisting trophies on Saturday evening. Come out and support your team and sign a "Get Well" card for Jackie Stiles. Head to the Bram for weekend hoops action. Kansas 2A tournament has become a 30-year fixture in Manhappiness!
