Shopping and dining march lockstep toward December

Warm up your plastic; fill up your belly
There’s really no reason to reach the far regions of the Interwebs for holiday shopping, especially when Manhattan stores are ultra-close to all your favorite eateries. You know shopping can be a hunger-inducing sport, and you’ll have the desire and ability to sample ultra-satisfying meals ’round each corner. Shop-local-n-eat-up!

Yield to the allure of finding hidden gift gems then go on and munch magnificent morsels with MHK dining rounds. Yeah, you can’t accomplish any of that from home, so why not overachieve and multi-task with a shopping-dining, afternoon-into-evening MHK outing?

There’s just something about landing that perfect gift find from a local shop.

Incidentally, today marks a countdown of sorts. Forty shopping days remain until the big day. Let the games begin and tune up those forks for dining dashes (put that diet on 2019’s resolutions list)!

A few tips to put on electronic recall:

  • Small Business Saturday is Nov. 24, so Shop Local for your holiday gift-giving
  • SNW Gallery is open late Dec. 8, Dec. 15, Dec. 22 and even Christmas Eve (10-3) for holiday shopping. Artwork makes a great gift!
  • Wrap It Up art exhibit/sale at Manhattan Arts Center continues through Dec. 24 (special gallery hours: noon to 5:30 weekdays/Sunday; 10-5:30 Saturdays)
Make the rounds to all your favorite Manhattan shops. There is no place better to spend the holidays than our special slice of Manhappiness: Gateway to the Flint Hills/North Pole!
