Late day fun in the sun offered up at Third Thursdays

Posted on June 14, 2018 at 12:44 PM by Michael Goens

Get weekends off to an early, plus easy start, and ease your way toward Manhattan’s downtown, always popping with fun summer activities at restaurants, shops and more. When you Visit Manhattan during latter-month portions of June, July and August, gain a real bonus treat at Third Thursdays.

These new 2018 events display an entertainment bonanza of mesmerizing proportions with street artists and musicians positioned all along the 300 and 400 blocks of Poyntz Avenue. Grab a slice at AJ’s Pizzeria and catch Terry Rempel’s pottery wheel demo, then sprawl out on the Manhattan Town Center lawn to enjoy The Grateful Dudes, an easy-listening duo with specialized folk & roll style.

Stroll down Poyntz for backpacking tips at The Pathfinder and more music from the soul-filled Madame Groove outside Strecker Nelson West Gallery. Paul Hunt sets up shop outside Harry’s for smooth jazz favorites. Honey Blue posts up on the Tap House roof for a spicy dish of Americana and western rock.

Clogging performance, mixed media art at The Wareham and Third Thursday Threads at The Boutique are all in fashion. Art, fashion, music and much more … Downtown Manhattan at power-packed Poyntz. Create your break from June 21 opening night at Stampede and stroll along the avenue during Third Thursday.
