Little Apple, Big Sports

Sports fans know that Manhattan is the proud home of the K-State Wildcats; but don't miss the other great athletic events from The Little Apple®!

Each year, Manhattan hosts multiple high school state tournaments, and amateur sanctioned activities. There are many opportunities to participate in club teams, intramurals, or individual sports.

Outdoor Recreation

Surrounding Manhattan is the nine-mile Linear Trail, for walking, biking, or jogging. Konza Prairie provides Flint Hills pathways for the same, and there are public parks all over Manhattan, from small neighborhood areas, to the City Park, which houses sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, a splash park, swimming pool, and more.

Offbeat adventures include an off-road vehicle park, a bike park and bike paths, equestrian trails, two official disc golf courses, archery and trap shooting ranges and a nearby indoor gun range.
