May 23, 2015. The first Bill Snyder Highway half-marathon.
Race to Manhattan, for worthy causes. Race in Manhattan’s only half-marathon. Runners gather just after dusk near Exit 313 off Interstate 70. Run along 7 miles of Bill Snyder Highway. Cross the Kansas River. Breeze through Downtown Manhattan. Around City Park. Through Aggieville, then K-State's breathtaking campus.
There's one logical place to finish the Bill Snyder Highway half-marathon: triumphantly in front of the Coach Bill Snyder statue outside Bill Snyder Family Stadium. In 2016, the second annual race benefited Boys&Girls Club of Manhattan, First Tee of Manhattan and Shepard's Crossing.
The 5-kilometer race starts and finishes at the stadium. Next race scheduled for May 20, 2017.
